Process Model

The purpose of this business process is to help Unity Home Partners become more effective and efficient in the treatment, and record keeping of their clients.  According to the text, “an effective business process is one that enables the organization to accomplish its strategy (Kroenke, 2014, p. 31).”  It is also equally important for a business process to be efficient.  “Efficiency is the ratio of benefits to costs (Kroenke, 2014, p. 31).”  It is crucial for Unity Home Partners to remain up to date on modern technology, but to also keep their vision of helping people in the forefront of this process.  Technologically streamlining this business process will in fact help Unity Home Partners to keep more efficient records while improving the effectiveness of treatment for the clients.  This model will also help the employees and clients of Unity Home Partners know what their roles are to help the business run as smooth as possible, and to help everyone involved.  The process begins with the Management Team.  They first receive a referral and application for someone seeking help on their road to recovery.  The Management Team then reviews the financial information for the potential client, and interviews them as well.  Once the financial review and interview are complete, the client is able to be accepted into the program and is assigned a Recovery Specialist.  Once the Recovery Specialist and client meet, the Recovery Specialist will review the rules, policies and procedures of Unity Home Partners with the client, and create an individualized recovery plan for the client. The Recovery Specialist then creates the client’s chart and data repository.  It is now time for the client to take charge of their recovery.  They will attend meetings both on their own, and with their Recovery Specialist.  They will also have access to other resources provided by Unity Home Partners to help keep them safe and sober.  Finally, the client will then be accepted into Unity Home Partners’ new database/electronic records system.  This business plan to ultimately implement a database/electronic records system will enable Unity Home Partners to focus on the help they are providing their clients while knowing confidently that their information is up to date, accurate and safe.
